USS VERITAS SCIENCE DEPARTMENT
I’m honored that FCPT Freeman selected me to serve as USS Veritas’ Chief Science Officer. In this role, I hope to provide you with useful, helpful, and engaging information about happenings and opportunities within the STARFLEET Sciences and Petfleet communities. As an introduction, I’m a Navy veteran living in Houston with my wife, who runs a small cat rescue. At the end of June 2026, I retired from a 35-year career with a 3-letter federal agency and decided to go in a totally different direction, re-enrolling in university to get a degree in horticulture. My 5 kids and 9 grandkids live across Texas and in Louisiana, so I get to do a little bit of traveling. Enough about me…
What interests you and sparks your curiosity to learn?
Science is the systematic discipline that builds, organizes, and tests information and ideas to develop informed explanations about nature and society by using the scientific method. These are the 4 major categories of science and some of their sub-categories:
